Fitment on Car: Interior, Sunroof Blind/Shade Lower and Upper

Replaces Lower Part Sunroof Handle A20278405817 and Upper Part Sunroof Handle A2027840481 This is an aftermarket replacement part designed to meet or exceed the original OEM design on your Mercedes-Benz W211 and S211 E-Class. This design uses two screws in much more robust design than the original part that contains weak plastic tabs that dry out and break easily. Car District has managed to reduce the plastic parts from 3 to 2. Designed and developed by Car District, specifically for the W211 and S211 Mercedes-Benz. Colors may vary from your interior due to age, wear and tear, and color pallet variations. The story behind developing this interior sunroof shade handle for goes back to picking up an Mercedes-Benz E320 and on the drive hope, trying to gently close the sunshade using the handle at the center of the sunroof cover, and the handle broke off with bits and pieces flying all over the car’s interior. So I was able to locate all of the parts and realized how badly designed it was. The upper side that is exposed to the sun’s UV rays has the smallest intricate snap fit feature I’ve ever seen on a car. As engineers we can understand that the 3 part handle assembly needed to be breakable to enable future repairs to the cover’s headliner, but there are tons of different ways to achieve that. Additionally, the assembly could have been easily 2 parts instead of three, even with color variations. From experience, The year 2000+ Mercedes-Benz cars had cheaply made plastic interiors, that does not include the 1990’s carry over models into the early 2000’s. The older these cars like everything that is plastic that is created from cheap material or have intricate design features is bound to break. At Car District we create practical parts that work.
